A Heavy Load on the Road

After a brief stay with my best friend and visiting with family in Adelaide, the second leg of my journey commenced best friend, another lifelong partner. Helping to bare the load she travelled with me to my destination on the east coast. A place to heal. This truck traveling in front of us, summed up how I was feeling. Overloaded and unstable. One wrong bump in the road and I would lose my load. It was precarious. I was raw, sensitive, and unbalanced and while we shared the driving, we talked it out and she was like a balm to my frayed nervous system. I was struggling with the burden of my choices and just holding it together. I would hold myself together and fall apart when I arrived at my destination, and I was alone.
