Endings and New Beginnings

With my home of the last eleven years in Darwin, Northern Territory, behind me and the setting sun in the rear-view mirror, diving away from a life I had worked hard to create, I was left with a sombre feeling. Real change is never easy. During a conscious uncoupling and a conversation that was summing up a thirty-year relationship, I snapped a photo of the sun as it set, not only on the life behind me but on who I had become. Only when I began to write this post did I understand the relevance of the song playing and how it reflected the most damaging time in my relationship. A far cry from where we had been for many years, but some wounds needed solitude to heal. The clock also had a story to tell; in numerology those numbers work out to be a nine; a wish fulfilled. There are messages everywhere we look, and they can be great guidance for us with an open heart and mind.
