Silver Lining

As the scenery changed, I felt the excitement. I had accomplished something that was up there with my most challenging times, and I was still here, all be it a little fragile, but I was still okay. I had begun a new adventure, and I was beginning to see the silver linings to the clouds that were hanging over me. I was enjoying the road trip with my bestie and our conversation had turned to our future. This filled me with a sense of rightness and put things back into perspective. I was on a path to discover who I was without being a daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, colleague and so on. I was on a path to discover who I was without any outside influence, and I was looking forward to meeting that woman inside.
